With the release of the iOS 17 update, Apple added the NameDrop feature, which streamlines and expedites the sharing of contact details.
The contact information is transferred from one iPhone to another, removing the possibility of typos in names and phone numbers. In order to utilise NameDrop, first unlock your iPhone, then place one iPhone on top of the other and wait three seconds for a prompt to show up. Select “Share” or “Receive Only” and click “Share” to swap contact details.
If only one person requires the contact details, choose “Receive Only” and click “Share” to make sure. Swipe up to get out of NameDrop if you would like to not continue. You can make any necessary changes after receiving the new contact and click “Done” in the upper left corner. With NameDrop, sharing contact information is quick and safe, and you can decide what information to share and with whom. You can only use the feature once between two phones and cannot share your phone number and email at the same time unless you erase the contact and start over.
