Christian Brothers is defeated 3-0 in the visiting match by Lee Volleyball.

With a 3-0 victory over Christian Brothers University, Lee University’s volleyball team improved to 14-12 overall and 5-6 in the GSC.

The Lady Flames are currently ranked eighth in the standings, with eight teams moving on to GSC postseason play. The team will play Union University, currently ranked ninth, on Friday in Jackson, Tennessee.

With ten kills and a.500 attack percentage, sophomore Sophia Lippert led Lee’s well-rounded offensive line. Abby Stroh and Allie Scurlock combined for nine kills, with Allie Scurlock spotting a career-high.381. In addition to her five kills, Naomi Hockless had a.500 attack percentage. Ashton Middleton and Clarissa Soza combined for fourteen assists, Kamryn Halpin for fourteen digs, and Carmen Perez for eight pickups.

With four slams to his credit, Jordan Allen led the Christian Brothers and was responsible for 18 of their kills. Calah Jackson and Sofia Rathheim-Hilton each contributed fifteen digs, while Rathheim-Hilton worked for three kills and 10 assists. Tia Rizvi dug up 14.

With the team nearing the end of the regular season and important games, head coach Christa Fabre is excited about the way the group is playing and thinks great things are possible.
