Novak Djokovic criticised British fans during his match against Great Britain, claiming they were being overly harsh.
Outraged by the boisterous supporters, Djokovic responded by asking them to show players some decency. His voice was muffled by the loud drumming of the British fans after the game. Although fans are free to act however they please, Djokovic stated that he will still respond in situations like these. According to Leon Smith, the captain of the British Davis Cup team, there is no ill will between the two sides. Djokovic has surpassed former doubles No. 1 Nenad Zimonjic with his 44th Davis Cup victory, as he continues to shatter records. The incident emphasises how crucial it is to show players respect and refrain from acting disruptively during games.
