Timothee Chalamet turned to vocal coach to the stars for ‘Wonka’

The renowned actor Timothee Chalamet, best known for his parts in “Dune” and “Call Me by Your Name,” is slated to play the lead in the upcoming film “Wonka,” which narrates the beginnings of the legend that is Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka.

The vocal coach for artists such as Ariana Grande, John Legend, and Katy Perry, Eric Vetro, with whom Chalamet has collaborated, said he put a lot of effort into getting ready for the movie’s musical sequences.

In the movie, a chocolate-loving inventor named Wonka pursues his ambition of setting up shop in a made-up city. Paul King co-wrote and directed the picture with the intention of making a follow-up to the Gene Wilder film, which features timeless classic songs. Simon Farnaby and Stephen King collaborated on the screenplay. Chalamet conveyed his joy at the movie’s global premiere at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
