For health-related reasons, famed restaurant critic Grace Dent has left the I am A Celebrity jungle.
According to the ITV show, Dent was having difficulties in the jungle prior to the Touchdown of Terror trial. She said she “completely had enough” of the experience and that she wanted to go home.
Dent, who has reviewed restaurants for The Guardian and Evening Standard, was scheduled to appear in Josie Gibson’s upcoming trial, Down The Tubes. The cast of I am A Celebrity, which includes Jamie Lynn, the sister of Britney Spears, Fred Sirieix, the controversial politician Nigel Farage, and more, has been in the jungle for a little more than a week. The show is viewership is lower than that of the previous season, which starred Matt Hancock, the former health secretary. After going through a trying period when she lost her mother and father to cancer and dementia, Dent decided to audition for the show.
